As this course walks you through various practices to give you an understanding of why each will or won't work for you, you then get mini practices to sample.

This course is designed to make that a walk past the shop windows so you can first see what you like the look of then with the mini practice you can go in and try it on.

At the end of the course you will have a practice of your own that brings peace and power into your day.

This course covers many, many practices so you can find one that works for you and find that place of peace and power perfect for you!

This course provides an overview of many of the overarching concepts of mindfulness and meditation, a number of practices to try, and reflections to ponder.

The week course is made up of 8 lessons and a bonus lesson. Each lesson includes:

  • A review of the previous lesson
  • New information to consider
  • At least one (often more) exercise to practice with guided instructions, and
  • Reflections topics to consider how this could work for you in your daily life.

The course is an exploration of various techniques to help you find a practice that works for you, tips to get you started and guidance to keep up the practice.

The Curriculum:

  • Lesson 1 — Meditation introduction: our scattered mind and how to prepare for meditation, with a colouring meditation exercise.
  • Lesson 2 — Tips for a successful practice: tips for learning new techniques, awareness of your reactions, and a breathing meditation.
  • Lesson 3 — Listening to the Body and meditating on the Heart. Mindfulness in everyday activities.
  • Lesson 4 — The ‘Monkey Mind’ and choosing your thoughts. A Walking Meditation
  • Lesson 5 — This too shall pass: facing old fears as they arise. Craving and aversion, and a guided meditation.
  • Lesson 6 — Conscious reactions. Visualisation and light-sourcing practices.
  • Lesson 7 — Mindfulness in our speech; the vibration and energy around us and a mantra meditation.
  • Lesson 8 — Inward discussion through journaling and gratitude. Activities that will aid your practice and guidance on self reflection.
  • Bonus — Assumptions, getting curious with yourself and how to get the answers out of yourself. Meditating to find your own answers.

The lessons will include useful, insightful and practical information, an exercise to practice and many reflections to consider.
